This is a custom medal project from a new customer in Spain. The customer’s company mainly engages in offline business of advertising and promotion, and often helps customers customize some advertising materials and promotional gifts.
This time the customer wanted custom 1,000 pcs 70mm size antique medals. He provided pictures of the previous finished medal and wanted to reproduce all the details.
1. Solution Recommendation
After learning about the customer’s requirements, we offered an accurate quotation to him, which the customer had no objection to.
The main problem was solving the production artwork. Since the materials provided by the customer were limited to previous photos of finished medal, the details of which were not clear, this was undoubtedly a very big challenge to our designers. Once the artwork cannot restore all details, the collaboration will not proceed.
In this regard, our designers disassembled the character, buildings, regional emblem, crown, and anchor in the photos one by one, searched for high-definition original images on the Internet, and then combined them one by one to draw 3D CNC artwork.
During the search, we learned the story behind this custom medal: This medal is to commemorate and pay tribute to a great marathon runner – Rafael Carmona Páez. He died in an accident, but he is part of those unforgettable Chiclaneros, and have left in our memory, and in the pages of our history, a testimony of dignified and exemplary life.
2. The Cooperation Process
The customer communicated in Spanish throughout the entire process, which did not trouble SICpin’s sales team. We use Spanish to communicate with customers without barriers and respect their language habits. This should be one of the reasons why customer choose to cooperate with us.
